What's a cool name for a smart character?

Hi I'm writing a book and I'm having trouble finding a sencible name for the main character.


The main character is smart and he is a boy,but the name has to have a meaning to it.


Any ideas please!

David Alexander DeLayne - I don't know when I came up with the name, but to me, it's the perfect name. :-)





David means 'beloved' and Alexander something like 'guardian'.

Wth the name Cosmo comes the ability to connect with the wisdom of the universe.Otherwise, you are stuck with the meaning of a boring name, or one that sounds more tribal ( not that there is anything wrong with that ) and has been over-used in general.
